April 20, 2012--- University of the Philippines official website was forced to bring down their own site due to hacktivism done by Chinese Hackers.

“The University of the Philippines System website is currently undergoing maintenance. The UP Computer Center is conducting an evaluation of the website and its contents. This website will be restored to its operational status as soon as the maintenance checks have been completed.”
Danilo Arao, assistant vice president for public affairs at UP Diliman, said the hacking happened at around 3 a.m. Friday.

(SAT)Such UP Website is now restored.

And now, Filipino Hackers fought and fighting back by displaying vandals on many Chinese websites, such as: “You got fucked by the Philippines! Spratly Island Is OURS!,”

You can see "PINOY HACKERS" at the title page of every hacked Chinese websites, proving that indeed they are pinoy hacktivists.

Sample Screenshots:

"You Got Fucked by the Philippines!
Spratls Island is OURS!
You started the fire we end it with dust!"

For more information about hacking:
These are the types of hackers:
CRACKERS (or Black Hat Hackers): those who will enter your computer just for the fun of it, or to prove their technical skills, which are usually mid to high level.

BLUE HAT HACKERS: A blue hat hacker is someone outside computer security consulting firms that are used to bug test a system prior to its launch, looking for exploits so they can be closed. The term has also been associated with a roughly annual security conference by Microsoft, the unofficial name coming from the blue color associated with Microsoft employee badges.

GRAY HAT HACKERS: A gray hat hacker is a hacker of ambiguous ethics and/or borderline legality, often frankly admitted (the color itself stands somewhere in between 'black' and 'white', the 'bad' and the 'good' guys).

WHITE HAT HACKER: A white hat hacker (sometimes referred to as 'ethical hacker') is someone who breaks security but who does so for altruistic or at least non-malicious reasons. White hats generally have a clearly defined code of ethics, and will often attempt to work with a manufacturer or owner to improve discovered security weaknesses, although many reserve the implicit or explicit threat of public disclosure after a "reasonable" time as a prod to ensure timely response from a corporate entity. The term is also used to describe hackers who work to deliberately design and code more secure systems. To white hats, the darker the hat, the more the ethics of the activity can be considered dubious. Conversely, black hats may claim the lighter the hat, the more the ethics of the activity are lost.

SCRIPT KIDDIES: Script kiddie is a pejorative term for a computer intruder with little or no skill; a person who simply follows directions or uses a cook-book approach -- typically using other people's scripts and shellcodes -- without fully understanding the meaning of the steps they are performing.

HACKTIVIST (rare): A hacktivist is a hacker who utilizes technology to announce a political message. Web vandalism is not necessarily hacktivism

Tsokolate Nakalalason Sa Mga Aso

Friday, April 20, 2012 Posted by Glenn 0 comments

Anyway, going on, yea, year 2011, me and my assistant (marvin cabuang) went to Arjay's cousin's house. Her, I mean his cousin is cute. Her name is Louise. HAHAHA. Louise is not a dog. Yum. Ay ewan, hindi ko na matandaan, tapos nung akmang ipapakain ko na sa aso nila Arjay yung chocolate cake, Marvin and Him interrupted. Nakakalason daw. I wondered why.

Ito pala ang sagot:

Humans and Dogs are different in many ways. Here's the fact: It turns out that, for dogs, a chemical in chocolate called theobromine is the source of the problem. Theobromine is similar to caffeine. According to this page, theobromine is toxic to a dog when it ingests between 100 and 150 milligrams per kilogram of body weight.

Different types of chocolate contain different amounts of theobromine: It would take 20 ounces of milk chocolate to kill a 20-pound dog, but only 2 ounces of baker's chocolate or 6 ounces of semisweet chocolate. It is not that hard for a dog to get into something like an Easter basket full of chocolate eggs and bunnies and gobble up a pound or two of chocolate. If the dog is small, that could be deadly.
It turns out that chocolate poisoning is actually not as unusual as it sounds. For a human being, caffeine is toxic at levels of 150 milligrams per kilogram of body weight (see this page). T

hat's the same as for dogs! Humans generally weigh a lot more than dogs, but small children can get into trouble with caffeine or chocolate if they consume too much of it. Infants are especially vulnerable because they don't eliminate caffeine from the bloodstream nearly as quickly as adults.

Philippines Now and Then

Friday, April 13, 2012 Posted by Glenn 2 comments

At napagalaman ko na, isa sa mga factors kung bakit sumabog ito ay dahil "Its design is unique." Ang design nito, as far as I know, and correct me if I'm wrong, ay kakaiba at bukod-tangi kumpara sa ibang Nuclear Power Plants sa ibang bansa.

Going on, bakit O-A si P-Noy?

Let's move on, the title of this post is "Philippines, Now and Then". LOL. Lakas ko mang-echos no?

HANEP MASTER MARCOS!

Philippine-made Rockets

A few years ago a cousin of mine told me about the supposedly top-secret
 project of then
President Ferdinand Marcos to develop a rocket or missile indigenously.
The name of the rocket is Bongbong 1.
I was incredulous when I heard about it (until today) when I remembered the story
and did
some googling.

What I unearthed is that there is actually a program, called Santa Barbara Project,
and the launching
pad of the missiles/rockets was the Caballo Island, which is near Corregidor.

There's a thread at timawa.net that has some pictures
of the launching of the rockets/missiles (pics above).
One version of the rocket can be launched by a mobile truck-mounted launcher,
and there is also a submerged launcher, like from a submarine probably.

To quote:

"Since 1972 a series of 37 dynamic tests were conducted on the
180-mm rocket.
All tests were performed at Caballo Island except for four firings in
Fort Magsaysay.
Different versions...were used: short version, with fixed fins, l
ong version with fixed fins, l
ong version with folding fins, and the pressure-assisted takeoff type...
The launchers were Fixed Open Frame (short), Fixed Open Frame (long),
truck-mounted tube launcher, truck-mounted open frame and submerged
launcher for underwater firing"

this is Caballo Island, as seen from Corregidor (taken by me last January 2010):

Ito pa, as quoted, from yahoo answers, by CDOGUIDE:

"President Marcos had a vision of a "New Society" or the "Bagong Lipunan". Projects were made to put the Philippines in the world map like the Cultural Center of the Philippines. Its first major event was hosting the Miss Universe pagent back in the 1970's. Also there was a drive towards a Filipino identity. Filipino languange or Tagalog was promoted. Government agencies/positions used Filipino names like Kabataang Barangay (the predecessor of Sangguniang Kabataan) including government sponsored events like Palarong Pambansa (National Games). The name of Congress was changed to Batasang Pambansa (National Assembly or Parliament). The name Barrio was changed to Barangay. Architects were encouraged to use Filipino designs hence the Coconut Palace in Manila was built and including other Marcos era buildings.

It was a good start, unfortunately something happened along the way and Marcos became corrupt. If Marcos only followed Singapores Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yews leadership style, the Philippines would have been in a better position now. Take note Singapore was ruled by Prime Minister Lee by dictatorship (no press freedom and under martial law) yet Singapore grew as an industrialized country. Marcos had his chance but he blew it. He had all the qualities of a great leader but he simply took the wrong path."

ANYWAY, KAHIT SI MARCOS PA ANG MAUPO NGAYON, E KUNG MATITIGAS ANG ULO NATIN(KAGAYA NG MGA ISKWATER NA IPINAGLALABAN ANG WALANG KWENTA NILANG PRINSIPYO, KESYO AYAW IPAGIBA ANG MGA BAHAY NILA, E MAY KAPALIT NAMAN NA MUCH BETTER NA TIRAHAN, E HINDI TALAGA UUNLAD ANG PINAS. STOP BLAMING EACH OTHER, STOP BLAMING THE PRESIDENT. WOOO! WAG NA TAYONG GUMAWA NG MGA ANAK NA HINDI NATIN KAYANG PALAMUNIN AT BIGYAN NG KALIDAD NA EDUKASYON! AT HIGIT SA LAHAT, MAGING RESPONSABLE. HINDI GAYA NG PAGAAKSAYA NG ENERHIYA, E PUNYETA, WALA NA NGA TAYONG POWER PLANT E, KAHIT MAYAMAN KA PANG UNGAS KA, PINAPALALA MO ANG GLOBAL WARMING AT INUUBOS MO SA WALANG KWENTANG BAGAY ANG FOSSIL FUELS NG MUNDO!

please share.
