Do babies already have sin?

Monday, June 10, 2013 Posted by Glenn 0 comments

Have you heard from a certain religion that BABIES inherit sins? Anyways, its been one month since the last time I posted something on my site.

Disclaimer: I do not hate anything here :). I posted this because I have to, I have to let my readers know the truth, I was wondering... I was really wondering and I knew from the start that babies are innocent. Sin isn't inheritable. So before continuing reading my post, please be open minded, no hate, just blog, just facts.

Going on with the topic, I was with my girlfriend and with the family of her sister. My girlfriend's nephew was about to be baptized in a Catholic Church. There was this girl who was teaching the crowd, the parents whose their babies will be soon baptized. I was listening even while playing with my girlfriend's IpadMini. The girl who was preaching was asking random mothers and fathers, and I noticed some of them couldn't answer, meaning they are not even listening...

While doing my business (taking photos and reviewing photos), I suddenly heard that the girl said: "all babies should be baptized because THEY HAVE SINNED!". OMG. I without hesitation told my girlfriend with a bit a bit a bit a little bit loud voice: "Really? How could have the babies sin?", and of course my girlfriend told me to keep quite. Hehe.

I told myself that I will search the fact in the Bible... But two weeks have passed, I haven't searched for it yet. But here, tonight, I found the answers.

All credits goes to: http://www.topicalbiblestudies.com and the BIBLE.

This concept of hereditary sin is often referred to as “original sin,” or in Calvinism, “total hereditary depravity,” promoting that there is nothing inherently good about a child. There must be a reason that people believe this, right? Is there a biblicalreason? There is one, well known passage that advocates of original sin use to preach their doctrine. That passage is Psalm 51:5, which records king David saying, “Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity; And in sin my mother conceived me.” There is another, less popular passage sometimes used by those who teach original sin: “The wicked are estranged from the womb; These who speak lies go astray from birth. They have venom like the venom of a serpent; like a deaf cobra that stops up its ear, So that it does not hear the voice of charmers, or a skillful caster of spells. O God, shatter their teeth in their mouth; break out the fangs of the young lions, O Lord” (Ps. 58:3-6).

Do these passages really teach that you and I were born as sinful infants? Let us consider this question. First, we must learn whether these verses are to be taken literally or figuratively. Both of these verses were written in Hebrew poetry. In most forms of poetry, especially Hebrew poetry, authors often use figures of speech to emphasize their points. It is common to find similes and hyperboles in all types of poetry. We must not neglect this fact. We must approach God’s word, being ready to discern from literal and figurative language. Are these verses to be taken literally or figuratively? We will come back to this question toward the end of the study. Let’s analyze some other verses first.

INNOCENT OR GUILTY?

Are babies born innocent or guilty? Scripture says, “The person who sins will die. The son will not bear the punishment for the father's iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son's iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself” (Eze. 18:20). This verse plainly teaches that the righteous father will not be held guilty for his son’s sins. Likewise, a righteous son will not be guilty for his father’s sins. Instead, it is upon each individual person whether or not he or she lives a righteous or wicked life. “So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God” (Rom. 14:12).
We must understand that sin is spoken of in Scripture as something chosen, and not inherited. “Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness” (1 Jn. 3:4). We read in Scripture that there is a time in a person’s life when he or she “knows enough to refuse evil and choose good” (Isa. 7:15-16). Evil is something one chooses, not inherits.
Jesus promises, “Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven” (Mt. 18:3). Does Jesus want us to convert and become like lawless, sinful children, who are destined for hell? Jesus promises us that we cannot enter the kingdom of heaven if we do not become like children (see also 1 Cor. 14:20). Children obviously represent innocence. This verse makes no sense if children are born totally depraved. Sin separates us from God (Isa. 59:2). If children are sinful, they are separated from God. But they are innocent. That’s why we have to become like them (innocent, teachable, trusting) to enter the kingdom of heaven. Why else would Jesus tell us to become like children?
Similarly, Jesus told His disciples on one occasion, “Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Mt. 19:14). Again, think about what this verse would mean if children inherit sin. The kingdom of heaven would belong to those separated from God. Instead, since children are innocent, the kingdom of heaven belongs to the innocent- those who belong to God.

-So okay, enough said, the conclusion is: As the Bible rejects the teachings of original sin, I hope you do too. God creates humans. God gives them their souls. God does not give defective, despised blessings. Instead, the baby is born with an innocent soul, and as he or she matures, the decision must be made to do right or wrong (Isa. 7:15-16).

Moving On, Forgiving and Straining Forward

Sunday, October 28, 2012 Posted by Glenn 0 comments

Can't Move on from your past mistakes? Can't forgive yourself? Your friends, your families? Well, I've got something to share with you. Tonight is Sunday. October 28, 2012. I've got many things to say in this post.

Peter said:

"But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus" - Philippians 3:14

Anyways, yeah it is indeed, I know, forgetting what just happened to us is quite hard. We can barely forget what we have done, or what they have done to us or to our loved ones. But think about it, WE CAN NEVER EVER, AS IN NEVER, LIVE IN OUR PAST. WE CAN NEVER BRING BACK WHAT WE HAVE LOST! WE CAN NEVER GET BACK TO THE PAST AND PREVENT THE PAIN WE ARE EXPERIENCING RIGHT NOW!

Everytime I have a problem whether if it is big or small, I go to the bathroom, and do something. If you know what I mean. hehehe. :P Just kidding. I take a bath, just wasting my time there and I let the water cool my head for me to think what should I do to solve such problem(s). Take a bath. Eat. Surf the net. Watch movies. Sleep. There are lots of things you can do to move on. Thinking about the past won't help you. HOWEVER, it can do uhmm quite small things, positive things for you :)

Use your mistakes in the past to motivate you. Learn many great things from your mistakes. Learn learn learn anything, REMEMBER: there is no such a mistake where you can learn nothing from it! I use my past to push my limits! Of course, I usually wish I could just go back in time and do the right thing, prevent my future failure and pain.

So that's it! As Apostle Peter said (again): "But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus"

Never forget that BROTHER!! :)

On the other hand, about forgiving, when it comes to families, or a family member, it is certainly soooo easy to forgive and forget. Much easier than forgiving our friends, right? I can forgive anyone of my friends, but if they do something so much wrong, well, I can also forgive them, but I can barely forget what they have done! :) Use that too to be your motivation. Revenge won't make you happy, will it? But prove to our friends what we can do.

Ah, I find this post nonsense. :3

additional tags: forgiving, forgiving your families, forgiving your friends, how to forgive, how to forgive the others, how to move on, moving on, moving on from your past, moving on from your mistakes, moving on from eveything you have done before, pressing forward, pressing towards the goal.

Cleaning Out The Files

Wednesday, October 24, 2012 Posted by Glenn 0 comments

Title: Cleaning Out the Files by Dennis De Haan
Read: Philippians 3:13-21

A certain businessman was notorious for saving almost everything that came across his desk - especially correspondence. Consequently, the files in his office were building. One day his secretary asked if she might dispose of all the old, useless material. The man was reluctant, but finally said, "Well, all right, but be sure you make a copy of everything before you throw it away".

That's the way some Christians handle their sins. They know that Jesus paid the penalty, but somehow they can't let go of the guild. It's as if Christ's suffering were not enough, and they must contribute some of their own anguish by continually lamenting their failures. They want to keep copies of everything they've done. How foolish!

Prove that God Exist without the Bible

Wednesday, September 5, 2012 Posted by Glenn 0 comments

Can You Show That God Exists Without the Bible?

Question:

Can You Prove That God Exists Today, Without Using The Bible? If so, how do you know that he is the ONLY God, and that all of those other gods who claim to be gods, aren't real?

Answer
There are two distinct questions here, and and the second follows logically from the first. But before we start, we need to resolve a background issue.

What is Proof?
In asking this question, we're basically asking "What kind of proof will be good enough? How much proof is needed?". When we talk about proof, we're talking about establishing some degree of certainty about something.

Scientific knowledge is based on repeated observations, but scientific knowledge is only one kind of knowledge. Other kinds include historical knowledge, philosophical knowledge, moral knowledge and personal knowledge. These types of knowledge lie outside the bounds of scientific knowledge.

For example, take historical knowledge. Can you prove that King Henry the Eighth existed? Using the scientific approach of observation and repeatable experiments, impossible! But using historical methods, it is certain that he existed beyond a reasonable doubt. This phrase is the key. While not one person living today has ever seen King Henry the Eighth, we know he existed beyond a reasonable doubt. This is why in law courts, a jury must be convinced of guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, not beyond a shadow of a doubt.

So, when we look to prove whether God exists today, a scientific approach will not work. The amount of proof needed is enough so that we can say: "God exists beyond a reasonable doubt".

The Question Restated
We can now restate the two questions above:

Is it reasonable to accept that there is a 'Higher Being' behind this universe? If so, how do we know 'what' or 'who' the Higher Being is? Is There A Higher Being?

There are many different arguments for the existence of a Higher Being, none of which rely on the Bible, and none of which can be scientifically proved. Here are a few:

The Argument From Design
When we look at anything which has a design, we rightly conclude that it had a designer. Somebody designed chairs for a purpose. Somebody designed a glove to fit over a hand. The universe, and particularly human beings, show an unbelievable amount of design. This points to a Designer.

The Argument From Anthropology
Humans have a complex personality. It seems (and is) absurd that such complexity could have emerged from nothing, with no cause. Rather, the human personality would need to be made by a Being with the same, if not greater, complex personality.

The Argument From Cause-Effect
Everything we can think of, and which we encounter, has been caused by something. Every effect has a cause. In something as complex and awesome as the universe, there is no difference. The Big Bang Theory does not destroy this argument, for no-one can explain the cause of the Big Bang.

The Argument From Ontology
If there is a concept of something, this implies that the something does exist. For example, there is the popular concept of 'true love'. Although this concept might often seem elusive, the fact that we have the concept of true love in our heads, points to the real probability of the existence of true love.

The Argument From Morality
The sense of morals which most people have 'built-in', points to the existence of a moral Maker. More than this, the other option of evolution, has no way of explaining how morals came from pond-slime, and ultimately, from nothing.
These arguments, on their own, and even collectively, cannot possibly 'prove' that God exists. However, they provide enough of a starting point to accept that there is probably a Higher Being of some kind. At this point, we are in a position to try and answer the second question.

additional tags: prove that God exist without getting bible verses, without bible, prove that god exists. Does god exist? God really exists even without Bible.

KUWAITI Prince, Abdullah Al-Sabah Converts Into CHRISTIANITY

Wednesday, July 18, 2012 Posted by Glenn 0 comments

KUWAITI Prince, Abdullah Al-Sabah Converts Into CHRISTIANITY “”if they kill me because of it, then I will appear before Jesus Christ”

In an audio file posted on a Christian satellite TV channel, prince Abdullah al-Sabah declared his faith in Jesus Christ. Muslims have attacked him saying “he isn’t a member of the royal family”.
According to reports, a Kuwaiti royal prince has become a follower of Jesus Christ. In an audio file posted with his name, he affirms that if he is killed because of a recording he made where he talks about his conversion, he firmly believes that he will meet Jesus Christ face-to-face. The news comes from Middle Eastern sources which state that al-Haqiqa – a Christian satellite TV channel in Arabic that transmits Christian religious programmes – broadcast an audio file attributed to the Kuwaiti prince, identified as Abdullah al-Sabah. The al-Sabahs are the royal family of Kuwait, a country rich in oil. The name Abdullah (servant of God) frequently appears in the Emir’s family tree.
In his audio file, Abdullah declared: “First of all, I fully agree with the distribution of this audio file and I now declare that if they kill me because of it, then I will appear before Jesus Christ and be with him for all eternity.” In this statement, the prince demonstrates his awareness of the fate in store for a martyr of the faith, according to Christian doctrine. The television channel stated that Abdullah is a member of the royal family, and that he recently renounced his faith in Islam and became a Christian, without specifying which particular branch of Christianity he had chosen. After stating his full name, the prince declared: “I will accept whatever they do to me, because the truth in the Bible has guided me towards the right path.”
In the audio file, Abdullah talks about the Islamic groups that are winning the elections in Egypt and declares: “Islamic communities have always wanted to attack in different parts of the world but God has preserved the world and still protects it. This is why we have recently seen disagreements appearing among Islamic groups who are now fighting with each other. They are about to divide further into different groups.”
Mohabat News, a Christian Iranian website which has been following the fate of Christian minorities in the Middle East closely and which has monitored Abdullah’s statement, confirms that this news was published briefly by Arabic news agencies and also by the Iranian state news agency. Some independent websites with Shiite leanings denied the reports and quoted another Kuwaiti prince, Azbi al-Sabah, who said: “There’s no one by that name in the Kuwaiti royal family.” In actual fact, the name Abdullah does not appear on the list of the 15 members of the royal family who rule this small, extremely wealthy country in different capacities: from the Sheikh down to Princess Nijirah al-Sabah, who testified in the US Congress under the assumed name of “Nurse Nayirah” on the humanitarian situation in the country after the invasion by Saddam Hussein’s Iraq and just before the Gulf War. That isn’t to say that this high-profile convert is not hidden somewhere within the extended family, under a different name.
In Kuwait the overwhelming majority of the population is Muslim (only 4% is Christian) and the country’s Constitution states: “Islam is the official religion of the country and Sharia is the main source for legislation.”
As is well known, the problem of conversions from Islam to other religions is a recurring problem in relationships between followers of the Prophet and other faiths and it is a very serious problem in all countries where the majority of the population is Muslim, even those that at first sight would seem socially progressive. The problem has always been there, but in the last few years the majority religion has become more sensitive in towards the increased evangelical activity being carried out, not so much by “traditional” Christian religions who have always been used to the insurmountable limits of living alongside Muslims, but rather by Protestant faiths.
These seem to be enjoying enormous success – not just in Kuwait; it’s likely that the mysterious prince could be one of their followers – but also in countries that are definitely more mistrustful, such as the theocratic Iran of the ayatollahs.
After Heidar Moslehi, the Iranian intelligence minister, asked Muslim seminaries to become proactive in stopping the spread of Christianity, a high-ranking cleric declared that Evangelical Christianity is the most horrifying intelligence and security organisation in the world. This statement seems to have appeared on press agencies close to the Revolutionary Guard.
In a conference on “New Age cults” held in Varamin, a district south of Teheran, Akhond Mohsen Alizadeh declared: “We should not allow these cults to question Islamic jurisprudence under the cover of mysticism.” He went on to add: “They tell the youth that God is wrathful and horrible in Islam but is love in Christianity. Also, Christian preachers answer the questions and doubts of youth in their own interest and try to attract them.” Nevertheless a whole series of signs seem to indicate that non-traditional Christianity – there are Catholics and Orthodox Christians in Iran as well as a large Armenian community – is spreading. The regime’s press recently spoke of them with concern and the number of cases of repression and condemnation following conversions is growing.

Will we recognize our loved ones when we get to heaven?

Thursday, June 21, 2012 Posted by Glenn 0 comments

You will absolutely be able to recognize your loved ones when you get to heaven! Biblical Proofs? Here they are:

1. Luke 9:28-33 "About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray. 2As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning. Two men, Moses and Elijah, appeared in glorious splendor, talking with Jesus. They spoke about his departure, which he was about to bring to fulfillment at Jerusalem. Peter and his companions were very sleepy, but when they became fully awake, they saw his glory and the two men standing with him. As the men were leaving Jesus, Peter said to him, "Master, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters-one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah." NIV

Although Peter had never met Moses and Elijah, he recognized them and suggested to build 3 tents, one for Jesus, one for Moses and one for Elijah. Not only will we be able to recognize our loved ones, we will recognize our heroes of the faith as well.

P. S. In the OT there is mention of Elijah being taken into heaven (see 2 Kings 2:11-12), however no mention is given at all concerning Moses being in heaven until Jude 9. Peter was not startled by the fact that Moses was in heaven and not in an unconscious sleep. Moses' appearance seemed completely Biblical to him.

2. Matt 28:9-10 "Suddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me." NIV

When Jesus was resurrected His disciples recognized Him, unless He didn't want His identity revealed.

3. Luke 16:19-26 "There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores. "The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, 'Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.' "But Abraham replied, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.'" NIV

The rich man recognized Lazarus when he went to heaven.

There is no doubt here. Nowhere in the Bible is there any mention that we will not be able to recognize one another in heaven. What an awesome God we have!

Are you looking forward in seeing your loved ones again when you reach heaven? Are you uncertain that you will reach heaven? If you are, why don't you accept Jesus in your heart now by answering His altar's call athttp://www.answers2prayer.org/saviours_call.html  He will give you the assurance that you are saved, through His Holy Spirit. It is Biblical: Eph 1:13-14 "Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession-to the praise of his glory." NIV Will you accept His invitation now?
__________________________________________________
I believe we will. The best example we have is Jesus Himself. After His resurrection, Jesus appeared to many for 40 days before ascending to heaven. It is evident that his memory was restored and that He knew all the people He previously knew. The body Jesus had after resurrection is the same as we will have. Not only did Jesus have full memory but those who were resurrected with Him at that time and who accompanied Him to heaven, went among the people and appeared to many. It is expected that these are the elders helping Jesus in His Priestly duties, later mentioned in Revelation. Revelation makes it clear that the 4 beasts or living creatures and the 24 elders are of the saved of earth. They would need their full faculties in order to assist Jesus with His work. Never forget that Jesus is still a man.

The apostle Paul alludes to this also:

1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

One of the stories Jesus told also mentions this knowing.

Luke 16:20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

Luke 16:21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.

Luke 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

Luke 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

Luke 16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

Luke 16:25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

Luke 16:26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

Luke 16:27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house:

Luke 16:28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

Luke 16:29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

Luke 16:30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

Luke 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

In this story a number of things are evident. Both Lazarus and the rich man died, and both would have been buried. The scene mentioned in the story must take place therefore, after the resurrection. It is significant to the question that the rich man recognized Lazarus and could remember his family.

All this is clear evidence that we will have our memories restored and will recognize each other after the resurrection. But are you assured of being in the first resurrection, dear reader? Are you persuaded because Jesus rose from the dead? If not, answer 'The Savior's Call' in this newsletter. We have only while we live to make our peace with God and no one knows when the grim reaper will come calling.

Absolutely! Scripture points to this! Genesis 25:8-9 says........"Then Abraham breathed his last and died in a good old age, an old man and full of years, and was gathered to his people. And his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of Machpelah...". Now notice the sequence: he died, then he was gathered to his people, then his body was buried in the cave. Although the tomb was new, somehow Abraham was now with his people.

Deuteronomy 31:16 shows that the destiny of Moses is described when God said, "Behold, you will rest with your fathers."

Judges 2:10 shows that not only do we read of individuals being "gathered" to their people, but after the death of Joshua we find an entire "generation had been gathered to their fathers."

2 Kings 22:20 says that it was a comfort when the prophetess Huldah told the good King Josiah he would be "gathered to his fathers." Now if he were not going to recognize them, why would it be a comfort at all?!

In Matthew 22:30, Jesus said, "For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven." Now, this passage proves this point. The angels of heaven surely know and recognize each other; some are even mentioned by name in the Bible.

It is without doubt that we will recognize our friends and loved ones in heaven. None of us can fathom exactly how, but we know that we will. All our questions will be answered when that time comes. MAY ALL BE BLESSED!

Romans 6: 5, "For if we have been united with Him in a death like His, we shall certainly be united with Him in a resurrection like His." Jesus was recognized in His resurrected body by His followers; since we share a resurrection like His, we, too, shall be recognized and will recognize others. Many other scriptures also attest to this fact, I believe. Especially Job, when he says, "And in my flesh I will see God." Now if he can see God IN HIS FLESH even after his death, then we shall be able to see the Lord and others in their flesh and in our flesh after our earthly lives are ended.

Besides, think about it: What logic would there be in just having a mass of people that nobody recognized in heaven! Jesus said He would give us eternal life, not eternal estrangement!

Also, at the Transfiguration, the disciples recognized Elijah and Moses talking with Jesus about His departure and how it would be accomplished in Jerusalem (Luke 9:30-31). Peter stayed awake and was impressed enough by who they were to ask Jesus if they should build 3 booths. (Ala the Feast of Tabernacles; Peter was hopelessly enmeshed in the some of that time's religiosity, until he got freed of course and really got his freedom when he had the vision of the sheet with all of the "unclean" animals in it, after the Holy Spirit came.) How did they know? They must have recognized them.

Anyway, that is my take on the question. Thanks for reading and God bless you all!

Yes! It is written: 1 Corinthians 13:12 for now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
One example would be JESUS himself. When JESUS returns and we are resurrected, we will have a body just like his.
In the story of Lazarus and the rich man, Lazarus died and his spirit was carried by the angels to the 'bosum of Abrahan.' The rich man died and was buried. Both spirits were preserved until the resurrection. The rich man knew Lazarus and talked to him. He asked Lazarus to warn his family.
There is another example about someone in Hell and asking for cold water. At the moment, I can't remember who it is. LOL!

Yes we will know each other in heaven. The bible says we will be known as we are known now.  The only thing, we will not be married there. We will know each other, but we will be spirit beings, not human beings. That makes a big difference. We will be able to think we are somewhere
and we will be there. I can't wait, I wish I was there now.

The disciples didn't have any problem recognizing Moses and Elijah.

Matthew 17:1-4, "And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias."

Moses and Elias; Moses the giver of the law, and Elias one of the chief of the prophets: one of them had been dead near a thousand and five hundred years, and the other had been caught up to heaven, about nine hundred years before this

There will be a great re-union day with loved ones when Jesus comes for His Church. We shall be caught up TOGETHER

1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 1Th 4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Pray that this helps you to believe that you will know your loved ones when you see them in heaven. It helps me.

In Jesus Paul Phillips

Sabi ko naman dun sa nagpost nito, "your religions won't and can't save you". :)

Hindi pumunta dito si Jesus upang sabihin na gumawa tayo ng kanya kanyang relihiyon. Mag-base po tayo sa bible. Just like Martin Luther did. :) Hindi siya kabilang sa mga wicked catholics noong panahon niya. :)

JOHN 14:6 says: "Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Mga relihiyosong tao, pero hindi naman nagbabasa ng bible. shocks. Hindi ako nagmamalinis. :) Napakarumi ko pong tao. :) Punong-puno ng kasalanan :)

HALT!

11 great reasons to wait to have sex until marriage

Wednesday, April 11, 2012 Posted by Glenn 0 comments

#1. A Chip On Your Shoulder About Changing The World

Every kid wants to grow up and be a hero. Some kids even want to change the world. As they get older, they lose this innocent idealism, and focus on just living as well as possible in the world.
When you wait until marriage to have sex, you preserve your innocence, and as a result you carry more of that child-like idealism over into your adult life. And when you take that idealism — that heroic vision for who you can be and what you can achieve — and combine it with an adult’s ability to act and comprehend, you can do truly great things (if you don’t let the voices of convention talk you into giving up first).
But there’s a catch: This desire to do great things with your life is a burden as much as it is a blessing. You will carry it around with you at all times (like a chip on your shoulder). It will make you unhappy fast if you’re not doing something fulfilling. It will tear you down. It will tell you that you should be better…that you should be more. And the only way to make that voice leave you alone is to give it what it wants: go out there and do it; change your own little piece of the world, and that little voice will cheer you on.

#2. Laser Focus

Take away a child’s favorite toy and put it on a high shelf, where he can see it but not reach it. Don’t tell him how to get it back. For the next phase of that child’s life, he will do everything in his power to get you to give him that toy back. First he may scream and misbehave. Ignore him. Then he will try being extra good. Move the toy slightly closer to his level every time does something nice. Once he realizes the connection between doing good and the toy moving closer, you will have the most well-behaved and obedient child on earth (so long as the toy stays important to him).
Now think of that child as a young adult, and that toy as true love. Think of what people will do when they are suddenly deprived of the person they love. They will cross oceans, conquer nations, and work their fingers to the bone. And all the while, they think of nothing else…they are wholly, ruthlessly focused on re-acquiring the love that they’ve been deprived of, and nothing will stand in their way.
When you decide to wait until marriage to have sex, you are willingly becoming the obedient child, the lovelorn conquerer. The difference is, the “parent” you are obeying is either God (if you’re a theist) or your own inner vision for what you want your life to be…and those are very powerful, healthy, productive masters.
When you start to get distracted, you will remember this great thing that you are missing — this favorite toy that you’ve willfully set high on a shelf — and you will refocus yourself, and drive ahead harder and harder…until one day you win it. And it’s everything you thought it would be.

#3. An Indestructible Spirit

Picture your heart as a container for your spirit. Feel it beating in your chest. Picture yourself filling your heart with  everything you love, everything you deeply care about, all your hopes and dreams, all your uniquness — all the qualities that make you special. Picture all those things contained in your heart….
Now, how are you going to protect those things?
Some people don’t protect them at all…they go out into the world and toss aside their weak values at the first mild pressure they encounter. Some people become self-destructive and actively try to rip out, destroy, and starve-to-death each and every last piece of goodness and righteousness within them.
Some people hold tight to their values, one by one, and defend them individually against outside pressures. Some values make it through the battles. Others are weakened or killed.
People that wait until marriage take a different approach. They make a vow to themselves. A vow made solid by action in its service. A vow that (whether they know it or not at the time) will come to represent all of the values that led them to make it.
Waiting till marriage starts out as just a decision about sex. But it becomes so much more. If you choose it, this calling becomes the unspoken core and protector of everything you hold dear in yourself. As long as you maintain your virginity (original or re-claimed) the values and character that come with it will remain alive as well, because every day that you — conciously or not — reaffirm your status as waiting, you reaffirm your values as well. Most people do not do this daily re-affirmation of their values; for those that wait it is built-in, and that’s what makes them so strong.
You may destroy and remake the rest of yourself a dozen times during your journey though young-adulthood, but this piece of you…held deep down…stays intact. And this is one of the greatest benefits of waiting till marriage: you will keep the important parts of yourself alive even as you destroy or change everything else.

#4. Pureness of Heart

There’s a lot of controversy surrounding the idea of waiting till marriage for sex. Lots of people will try to argue you out of it. But for all the people that will tell you that you’re being naive or that you’re making too big a deal out of sex, or that you’re being stupid — none of them will say that waiting isn’t hard, and none of them will say that waiting isn’t noble.
And that defines the type person who waits: Somebody that is willing to do a hard thing for a noble reason, other peoples’ opinions be damned.
You will find over the course of your journey that this attitude — this desire to pursue the most noble course of action — will start manifesting in other areas of your life. It will make you focused on improving yourself at all costs. It will push you to grow, to mature, to better yourself every day of your life…and to constantly monitor your reasons and intentions.
These are the qualities of a nice person, a kind person, a loving person. Somebody with a big, strong heart that will stay untainted even as the hearts of those around them are poisoned.
People don’t necessarily get this kind of a heart by waiting till marriage. They usually have it to begin with, and then they decide to wait as a symptom of having a big genuine heart. It’s kind of like the Chicken and the Egg dilemma (which  came first?): People who have big hearts wait until marriage, and people that wait until marriage have big hearts. One will usually cause the other.
However you get there, when you wait until marriage you will become (if you are not already) a deeply caring person, who is (often obsessively) concerned with doing the rightest, truest thing that you can think of at all times.

#5. The Ability to Dodge Bullets

As you grow older, you will live to see people get shot down in flames. You will see friends catch awful sexually-transmitted diseases, and you will sense their sudden, inescapable devastation, as if they’ve been branded for life — and they have. You will see friends get pregnant accidentally, far too young; and watch as it totally stalls and redirects the course of their young life. You will know somebody who got an abortion, and you’ll see how inconsolably guilt-ridden they are about it.
You will see a friend give herself fully to a relationship and be destroyed beyond all repair when the guy turns out to be a shallow jackass, and it was all for nothing. You will watch as a friend stays trapped in a doomed relationship far past its expiration date — holding him/herself back from moving on and growing — just for the sex. And you will hear a thousand times the lamentation “I really wish I hadn’t slept with him/her”.
All of these pains and more are things that you will bear close witness to in others, but never have to endure yourself. You will be in many ways immune to them, above them, outside of their reach. You will pass through them like Moses walking calmly across the dry ground of the red sea, walls of water looming on either side.

#6. Meaningful Relationships

At the heart of waiting till marriage is a yearning for greater meaning in all things, most of all marriage.
This end-goal of a more meaningful marriage will trickle down into the friendship/dating relationships you have leading up to marriage as well. People who wait till marriage tend to prioritize meaningfulness in all relationships much more than other people.
One night stands, casual flings, superficial friendships — these will be entirely foreign (and appalling) concepts to you. You pursue closeness and meaning in every relationship you have — platonic or otherwise. Now, this doesn’t mean that you will get deep meaning out of every relationship…just that you will try to get it. You will rarely be comfortable with a friendship or a dating relationship in which you don’t get to know the person very well.
You will pull the maximum potential out of every relationship. Sometimes that won’t amount to much. Sometimes it will amount to everything.
And that’s the good news: when you shoot for depth and meaning, you will frequently get it. Or you will move on until you do. Yours will be a life shared with the many wonderful people you’ve come to love — one most of all.

#7. An Incredible Wedding Day and Night

Most people do not wait until marriage to have sex. However, when those people reach their wedding day, many often suddenly wish that they had waited. You’ll here guys reporting this of their fiancées several times over your life: “Yeah, she got a little emotional because she suddenly wished we had waited till marriage for sex.”
With some couples, one person (usually the girl) will even go as far as to cut off sex a few months (or even a year) before the wedding, so they can “wait” until the big day and then start having sex again. Again, the guys will gripe about this: “Dude! She’s making me wait now! She says no more sex until the wedding. Ugh.”
If you ask one of these people to explain why they wanted to cut off sex before the wedding (or why they feel pangs of regret about the fact that they didn’t wait in the first place) they will give you this answer: “Because I want our wedding day to be special.”
Why wouldn’t it be special anyways? You’re committing yourself fully to the person you’re going to spend the rest of your life with! That’s a special day under any circumstance, right? Why do you need to cut off sex until the wedding to make it feel “special”? Why doesn’t it feel special enough already?
I’ll tell you why it doesn’t feel special enough.
Because they’ve already committed themselves fully to the person they’re marrying. They’ve been in love, having sex, and (usually) living together for years now.
The wedding day is beautiful, but except legalities, it doesn’t change anything. It does not mark the end of one era (as separate people) and beginning of another (as one) as clearly as it’s supposed to. It’s just a fancy solidification of the lifestyle that they’re already living. After the wedding, they don’t go back to a new life — they go back to the exact same life.
And they know that if they wait on sex, even for a small amount of time, it will make the wedding more  special because it will make the wedding feel like it marks a change for the better. It will mean the end of their (brief) time physically apart, and the renewal of their time physically together, and get their marriage off to a more romantic and sexier start. It will make the day more significant.
Most couples that do this (cut off sex a few months before the wedding) report that they’re glad they did it. Even the guys will begrudgingly admit “Yeah, it was frustrating, but it definitely did make the wedding night and honeymoon a little more special.”
As you can imagine, if stopping sex for a few months leading up to the wedding makes the wedding noticeably more special and meaningful, then waiting your whole life without having sex until the wedding night makes the wedding spectacularly more special and meaningful — totally off-the-charts specialness.
For you, the person who waits, your wedding day and night will be everything every Hallmark card, every romance novel, every poem, every religious text, and every little girl’s fantasy says a wedding should be. All of the symbolism — turning from two lives into one, owning each other in every way, making a commitment with body and soul — will be physically real to you and present throughout your wedding day and night.
Others will reach their wedding day and find themselves thinking “Sigh…I kind of wish we had waited”. You will reach your wedding day and think “I’m so glad we waited!”

#8. A Sex-Filled Marriage

Many non-waiting people report that sex declines in frequency after the honeymoon. This is so common that it’s become a cliché…a joke that married men perpetuate. They will say things like “Yeah…we had sex all the time back when we were dating, but once you’re married…forget about it.” If you gather together all of the world’s stand-up comedians and say to them “no more jokes about married men not getting any sex”, you would leave many with a serious want for material, because half their act was jokes about married men not getting any sex.
So, why does this happen? Why are so many married people sexually unsatisfied? Why does sex slow down or stop after marriage in so many cases? Many couples therapists will say that  married couples (after a while) simply fail to treat sex as important. They take sex for granted.
Now, when you wait until marriage to have sex, you spend your whole young life treating sex as extremely important. During your single years, this view that sex is highly important will strengthen your resolve. It will be the reason why you do not just toss away your virginity (original or re-claimed) lightly at the first opportunity or pressure. Because sex is important to you, you will stay the course until marriage.
Then, when you get married, this view of sex as being important starts to work very much in your favor, because it stays important. You have years of hard waiting behind you as a constant reminder that what you have earned — this loving relationship with the most wonderful person you’ve ever met and the physical intimacy that comes with it — is nothing to be taken for granted, especially not the physical part that you’ve waited so long for.
Plus, sex will be a whole new thing to you! When most people get married, they’ve already been having sex for a decade or more. Sex is old hat by the time they get to marriage. They’ve done it all a thousand times over, with several different partners, before they even get to their honeymoon and the lifelong marriage that follows. So keeping things original and exciting in the bedroom can be a challenge at times. This is why the magazine racks at your local grocery store are peppered with promises to give you tips on how to “spice up” your sex life by adding new things.
For you, the person who waited till marriage, your kinkiness and “spiciness” tolerance will be laughably low. The act of having sex at all will be plenty “spicy” for you for a long time. You’ve never tried the basics before…you’re a long, fun way off from having to reach for that magazine rack. Put simply: When you get married, you’ve got a whole lot of awesome sex that you haven’t ever had yet. And now you get to catch up, instead of just burning out.

#9. A Deeper, More Committed Bond with Your Spouse

At the heart of sex is a sense of ownership. When you have sex with someone, you give them a little piece of yourself that they will forever own. But here’s the catch: You only have so many pieces to give away in this fashion, before you grow numb to the process; the pieces stop feeling as important. And when you get married, you will give whatever pieces you have left.
Waiting till marriage means that you do not dilute this piece of yourself by giving it to a lot of people. You give it to one person; the person that earns your heart along with it. And for this they will forever own you, all of your pieces, in total. This is not just some symbolic fantasy — you will feel owned by them in the same way that they will feel owned by you (if they waited too).
Plus, you’ve spent your whole life living under the notion that there is one person out there who will complete you more than any other. Most people, waiting or not, have this notion. But you spent your whole life backing it up with action (i.e., not having sex until you found him/her).
Divorce and multiple marriages are not in your brain. They are so far removed from the waiting-till-marriage mindset that they exist only as a “wouldn’t that be horrible” scenario — not as any kind of viable option for consideration. You will think that because you waited, you will be a little exempt from the statistics (50% divorce rate) because you have so much more invested and will fight much harder to defend your investment. And you will probably be right.
In terms of marriage, you’re not sticking you’re toe in the water, ready to bail out at a moment’s difficulty — you’re diving in head-first with no thought of turning back. And when you do encounter trouble, you will do everything in your power to overcome it. You will stay the course much longer than many others, because you have more of yourself invested, and because that’s what you’ve prepared yourself for during all those years of waiting on this.
That deeper bond and heightened sense of mutual ownership that your waiting-till-marriage earned you will work in your favor. It will keep you both gravitating back towards each other. It will make you feel more like one person, which is a much harder thing to split.

#10. A Great Example Your kids.

Most parents get stuck on this dilemma: How do I make them do what I say, and not what I did when I was their age? Parents had their youth. They had their teenage sex and their pot smoking and all the trouble. Then they grow up, have kids, and suddenly get serious about morals and values.
But here’s the problem, you can tell your kids what you think they should do, but ultimately what you did is going to show through. You cannot escape the decisions of your own past and how they shaped your personality. It is that personality —and every decision attached to it — that’s going to rub off on your kids whether you like it or not.
The mom who sleeps around in her youth, then as an adult sticks her kids in church and espouses the virtues of waiting till marriage will most likely end up with one of those church kids who has sex in the church bathroom in between youth group sessions (i.e., a holier-than-thou hypocrite that every rational kid hates).
Plus, if you’re trying to tell your child not to do something, they can instantly destroy the credibility of your point with this question: What did you do when you were my age?
What kind of answers will you have when your kids start asking those questions? What will rub off on your kids as far as relationships and sex goes?
If you wait until marriage to have sex, and you focus on having an obviously great relationship with your husband/wife, you will have a lot of solid ground to stand on when your kids start approaching *that* age. You want to be able to say “I saved everything for your father. That’s partially why we still have such a great relationship, and why all of your friends’ parents are divorced.”
But again, it won’t matter much what you say. It’s what you did that will rub off. And in your case that will work in your favor.
A True-Story Example
My friend’s parents, who we’ll call Bob and Susie, grew up in a small, highly-religious community (we’re talking near-Amish, from what I understand). When Bob and Susie fell in love and decided to get married, they had to follow the traditions of the town before their marriage could be condoned. First, they had to spend a year apart from each other without any communication whatsoever.
When they reunited a year later, they had to re-assess whether they still wanted to get married. They did. Then they had to stand naked in front of each other, to make sure they were physically OK with what they were getting into. They were. Then they were allowed to marry.
This was waiting-till-marriage to the extreme. Today, thirty years later, they’re one of the closest married couples I’ve ever known. Everything they do is as a team. And they seem to still have so much love for each other.
They are very calm, rational people. I’m close with their son, and there are few stories of them being over-bearing about religious behavior or anything like that. Looking at them, you’d never know that they had such structured religious upbringing.
Now, their kids: two girls and a boy. Both of the girls waited until marriage, and are two of the sweetest, most beautiful girls I have ever met. The kind of people that it’s impossible not to like because they are so unrelentingly kind-natured and caring. As smart, beautiful, and successful as each of the daughters are…they are also very, very good people.
The son didn’t wait till marriage. He rebelled for a little bit, as oldest sons often do. But you can still see those tight family values in him. He ended up in a 5-year relationship with a girl who was waiting till marriage. He worked harder at that relationship than I’ve ever seen somebody in their 20′s work at anything.
So you can see how having parents who waited can positively affect the relationships that their kids have throughout their life.
When you wait until marriage, you will pass your preference for committed, meaningful relationships on to your kids, and that’s a very wonderful gift to give them.

#11. Breaking the Mold

statue-couple-breaking-away
Einstein said that the definition of insanity was “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
Think of all the things in this age that are the same: Most people have sex before marriage. For most people, the divorce rate is above 50%. Most people complain of frigid, bland marriages that are sad, neutered versions of their pre-marriage relationships. Most people follow the rules and the norms of everyone around them, and as a consequence are carried through similar paths and predictable milestones, both good and bad.
But not you.
You have stepped outside the conventions of world and said “No. I’m going to be different.”
Whatever else you do in your life, you have made one choice that sets you vastly apart from the crowd. You have made a statement to the world that you will ignore conventions if you believe it right to do so…if there is glory in it. You will be forever unique, for better and for worse.
And above all, you have done something very different. You have broken the mold. And that is sure to bring you unexpected and different results. Enjoy the adventure.

5 celebrities who waited to have sex until marriage

Posted by Glenn 0 comments

Were they REALLY virgins on their wedding nights?
Only the stars themselves know for sure, but these 5 celebs claimed to be waiting until someone put a ring on it to do the deed.

Jessica Simpson
, who received a purity ring from her father at age 12, famously stayed celibate until her 2002 wedding to Nick Lachey, which ended in divorce in 2005. Simpson is now engaged to new beau Eric Johnson.

Eldest JoBro Kevin Jonas beat all of his promise-ring-sporting brothers to the altar (and the bedroom?), marrying hairdresser Danielle Deleasa in December 2009. Joe Jonas once declared that all of the brothers wear purity rings as "promises to ourselves and to God that we’ll stay pure till marriage."

Victoria's Secret model Adriana Lima, who's married to NBA star Marko Jaric, says she saved sex for her wedding night at age 27, telling GQ that sex should be "for after marriage." The couple had a daughter in November 2009 after eloping on Valentine's Day, and Adriana says she found out she was pregnant soon after the honeymoon.

Mariah Carey says she and second husband Nick Cannon waited until tying the knot to do the deed: “It’s not that we had no intimacy, we just didn’t have complete intimacy. It’s just me, and my feelings. I definitely don’t want to push it on anybody else. But we both have similar beliefs, and I just thought that it would be so much more special if we waited until after we were married. And it was, and it still is.”

But before you give the couple TOO much credit, they married after only 2 months of dating.

Friends star Lisa Kudrow, who has a degree in biology from Vassar, says she remained a virgin until her marriage to French businessman Michael Stern: "
I don't know if you'd characterize me as uptight, but I understood what it is to be so afraid of sex, of your sexuality... for me it was just ,"No, I'm saving myself. Because I have to make myself worthy of the kind of man I have in mind."

Do you applaud these celebs, Lovelies, or do you think waiting until marriage isn't the best idea?
