Assembly Language8086 Tutorial 2

Saturday, April 28, 2012 Posted by Glenn 0 comments

Welcome to my second Assembly Language8086 Programming Tutorial.
In this tutorial, I will show and explain to you the two structure or kinds of Assembly Language Program and we'll see their differences.

Anyway, the two kinds/structure of Assembly Program are:

1. The .COM (Read as dot com or COM) program
and the second one is the
2. The .EXE (Read as dot ekse or EXE) program.

Later on, I will show you their structure codes. Now, let us see their differences.

First of all, the .COM is a program that requires an assembler to run. And compared to .EXE programs, .COM is smaller in size and its structure codes are easy to memorize. So basically, I prefer to use this during exams in our theoretical as well as in our laboratory exams. HAHA!

On the other hand, the .EXE program DOESN'T REQUIRE an assembler ANYMORE!
And it is bigger in size since it is a stand-alone program. You can run it anytime you want without using other program(Assembler)

Want to see a proof? K.

Going on...
Here's their codes:

;STRUCTURE OF A .COM PROGRAM

;STRUCTURE OF A .EXE PROGRAM

that's all folks! Its already 3:30AM here! Got to sleep. Church later

Assembly Language8086 Tutorial 1

Posted by Glenn 0 comments

Hi! Welcome to my first tutorial on Assembly Language Programming for 8086 microprocessors. Today, I'm gonna show you how to download an Assembler as well as an emulator. Assembler is a program designed to assemble, from the name itself, your assembly and run it. It's like a compiler. But a compiler compiles first your codes and then convert such to assembly language and then run. :)

Assembly Language is a low level programming language. It is one of the most interesting yet powerful programming for me.

Anyway, here is the download link for TASM:

http://www.mediafire.com/?kr3942805a851yn

and CLICK HERE to download DosBox Emulator(from SourceForge. This is really necessary.)

TASM is an assembler made by Borland.
Note that some of my programs/files are included in tasm folder.

And that's all for the first tutorial of mine on Assembly Language 8086,

glenn

Philippines' Scarborough Island Update

Overflights by unidentified aircraft, China trying to establish rules

Del Rosario added he has been informed that two unidentified aircraft flew over the area around midnight last night, and another aircraft, again at 1:25 a.m.

But he said “there is no harassment and the situation is normal” in the area.

Del Rosario said that together with Chinese incursion into the Reed Bank last year, this recent incident at the Scarborough Shoal makes it appear that “China is trying to establish rules” in the region, as both the Reed Bank and the Scarborough Shoal are clearly part of the Philippines.

He said that China appears to be trying to establish its sovereignty and sovereign rights over all of the South China China, which are “baseless.”

“Clearly, they have no basis for doing this…We have invited them to UNCLOS and they refused,” he said.

GOD BLESS PHILIPPINES!!!
